Pyre 13

Synopsis

13, so named for the number tattooed on his neck, knows nothing but his duty, the maintenance of PyLOR-1 (Pyramid Laser Ozone Restoration Factory 1) deep within the Peruvian Amazon. What he doesn't know is that he wasn't always the way he is now. He used to think. He used to know humor. He used to know love. A chance encounter with a stereo and a Johnny Cash CD will soon change that. But the pain of memory can make a vampire do some crazy things, and 13 soon draws attention to himself. The indigenous tribes unite against him. PyLOR-1 holds few clues to why he is stranded in the jungle. The Solar Flare lodged in his neck doesn't allow him to get too far away from work, and doesn't tell him who stuck him there in the first place. He only knows he needs to feed, he needs to remember, and he needs to get out of this god-forsaken jungle before the sun comes up.
